I did this one a while ago forgot to post it... really a step up for me I think.

Exercises in Contrast

This is a really brilliant video (its an xbox ad, not made by me). You've probably already seen it, its kind of old.



The director added gunshots over the water balloon impacts, the score was chosen for its creepy instrumentation, and the cinematography was influenced by video in war time. If you watch the video again knowing that, you'll see it in a completely different light. Pretty deep for a commercial.

Stitched together digital zooms... the effect gets kinda spooky at the end, kinda clumsy in the beginning. Music by Sigur Ros.

Was searching for 16mm film and found this. Creative, unique, and actually builds up to an emotional moment.

I purchase a tripod and look what happens: A seriousish attempt at making an emotional circumstance.

If this comes off as one of those films that uses artsy techniques to cover up for the fact that it has nothing real to say, well, thats because it is.

Originally I tried to cut this to make it match, but that actually made the parts that didn't match stand out. So, instead I just lined this kids video up with this nas song, and let luck do its magic.
